Nas Announces Exclusive Show At Radio City Music Hall On New Years Eve

Tickets Go On Sale this Friday, September 14th at Noon

“There is no better place for me to spend New Year’s Eve than New York City, and there aren’t many better places to perform in this world than Radio City.” -Nas

Following the release of his best-selling #1 new album Life Is Good, and a standout performance on this year’s Rock the Bells tour, hip-hop’s most influential MC has announced an exclusive show at Radio City Music Hall on New Year’s Eve. Fans can purchase tickets beginning this Friday, September 14th at noon- the same day Nas will be celebrating his 39th birthday. Elle Varner has been confirmed as support. Doors for the concert will open at 9pm.

Nas’s new album, Life Is Good, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts (selling 149,000 copies in its first week), marking the sixth #1 album that the artist has produced during his career. The collection has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike including from The New York Times who raved, “A simulacrum of the sound that made him legendary, capturing Nas in his vintage prime without coming off as anachronistic. Life Is Good would probably have been among the best hip-hop albums of 1993 and, as it happens, is likely to be one of the best hip-hop albums of 2012,” from Rolling Stone who noted, “The Queens rap godfather spits vicious rhymes over a rugged, island flavored beat,” and from The Los Angeles Times who said, “On Life Is Good, the rapper known for his sharp wit and biting social commentary taps into one of his most honest and compelling subject matters yet: himself.”

    Your fresh air
Choose me as your breadth of fresh air// I want to be your breadth of fresh air// You protecting me from this cold so very cold world. But, you gotta come find me.............// So sad a countenance you have// I would love to be the one to make you glad// Your heart and soul I truly see// Entertwined and entermingled throughout your musical poetry// As a fan of rap from way back then// You kilt them with your words; A genius at work; You're surgical with that pen// With stealth-like metaphors and Kingpin imagery galore// Your collabo w/ Mr. Marley blew me away And left me wanting soooooo much more// Your lyrical aptitude is UN-SUR-PASSED!! At least in my book// 'Cause your poetry, set to some damn good music and a dope a** hook.... SHID.....// You got that ETHER You can't loose No matter how old you get!!!!!// ALL BETS ARE OFF! A toast to NAS, the DON in this B*TCH!!!! Mell
